I started recruiting in an agency in late 2004. I had no commercial experience and had only recruited a few people internally before that. I was shown once how to go through the whole recruitment cycle and then I had to do it myself.
Luckily my teacher was very good and always available if I had questions. But it was a difficult job as you all know! Every single aspect of this job was new. I had been very good at my previous job but now I was eating humble pie!
I suffered for quite a few months before things slowly but surely fell into place.
The funny thing is that 9 years later I moved to another agency where they worked quite differently. I was learning again!
